We can agree that technology makes tasks easier and faster, most times. This is also true for the management of small businesses. There are various apps available for small businesses to perform certain tasks such as bookkeeping, time management, communication, pricing, etc.

In this short article, I have listed important software applications that are useful for small businesses. Take a read, and see why you should get them for your business.

  1. QUICKBOOKS

They say if you really want to manage your finances like a business, then you really need Quickbooks because it is a business finance software. This app helps small businesses in particular, with bookkeeping, bills and payments. It helps business owners to keep track of income and expenditure, and also taxes.

  2. TRELLO

Dear Business Bosslady, you may not always be present at the exact location of your business to check up with your team or monitor tasks being done. Trello is available to help with this. You can create a card with tasks for each member of your team, add your employees to the project management app, and track the progress. You can leave comments and give feedback on work done.

  3. MAILCHIMP

Remember what we say about leveraging on available sources? Well, MailChimp is one of those sources. Email marketing is extremely useful, and MailChimp helps to make sending newsletters easier, and less tedious. Simply get the email addresses and name of your customers. Add these details on your MailChimp account, and send your customers new information about your business, new stock, new prices or discounts, giveaways, etc.

  4. OMNIFOCUS

This is one I particularly like, and it’s not just because it has a funny name, Omnifocus. It is a personal task manager. This app helps you to organise all your assignments, projects, and creates a to-do list. Omnifocus can be that personal assistant that you really need. It can also send notifications and reminders.

  5. SHOPIFY

If you have never heard of Shopify, please jump on this bandwagon now. This ecommerce software has multiple functions. You can upload items to your website from the platform. You can also send blog posts and updates. Shopify allows you to monitor the progress of sales and track inventory in your business. Simply set up your online store using Shopify.
